This system teaches typical electrical accessories found in today's
cars. The concepts, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting
techniques needed to maintain and repair these accessories are practiced
in this interactive simulator.

Through experimentation and twenty-five separate, instructor-inserted
faults, students gain understanding and practice in the safe diagnostic
and repair procedures required. Malfunctions, outlined below, include
the following categories: mechanical components, electrical components,
electric harness, vacuum components, and misadjustments .
Operation of the wiper and washer system, radio and stereo system,
and automatic light systems
Detection and repair of AM/FM/Tape System: blown fuse, bad speakers,
receiver distorts, bad antenna, bad receiver, and receiver static
Operation and function of cruise control
Detection and repair of Speed Control System: open cruise switch,
burned out engaged indicator, open brake switch and resume switch,
vacuum valve failure, leak in vacuum release, open vacuum coil,
varying throttle position in speed control
Operation of electric seats with memories
Detection and repair of Automatic Light Control System: blown fuse,
open light switch, open and short in photocell, closed headlight
control switch, potentiometer stuck in one position
Operation of power windows
Detection and repair of Power Windows System: ope in left/right
door switches, open in left/right door motors, stuck left/right
window mechanism
Understanding the alert system
Detection and repair of Wiper and Washer System: blown fuse, open
in wiper motor and wiper switch terminal A, broken mechanical arm,
stuck wiper switch, open in washer switch and washer motor
