Autotechnology
Software
Computer based interactive training on CD-ROM designed for technicians
and mechanics working in the repair and maintenance of motor vehicles
and other areas using basic and advanced electrical knowledge. A
complete programme of training covering the basic principles underpinning
modern engine management systems - providing training to meet the
individual needs to learners and technicians on a flexible basis.
31 individual self-study lessons on 7 CDs complete with matching
workbooks that the learner completes and keeps as a permanent record
of the programme and his progress.
Electronic Modules
ITE's Electronics Modules guide students through a program of study,
experiments, and troubleshooting exercises. Each module represents
a different electronic area of the automobile.
Automotive
Demonstrators
ITE demonstrators create a multimedia, interactive learning environment
with fault-insertion capability. All experiments offer troubleshooting
for real-world automotive problems.
Simulators
ITE's Simulator Training Panels guide students through a program
of study, experiments, and troubleshooting exercises. Unlike many
panels which only provide a visual demonstration of a concept, the
AT-20000 Simulator Panels actually simulate real problems which
the student must solve.
Computer
Managed Laboratory (CML)
This software program provides simultaneous monitoring and storing
of student data for up to 32 independent workstations. The data
base stores the results of 50 courses for 500 students arranged
in up to 20 classes. Each student workstation can be assigned to
any class. Students of different classes have the capability to
perform experiments together in the same laboratory.
Non-invasive
Smart Vehicle Fault Insertion
The Smart Car bridges classroom theory and laboratory simulations
with real-world applications on live cars. Installed in a working
vehicle, the Smart Car allows the instructor to insert faults into
the car from a teacher workstation. Students then apply their knowledge
of vehicle systems with knowledge of electronics in order to correlate
symptoms with actual faults.
Assessment questions
In partnership with the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), the
leading industry specific award body in the UK, ITE is developing
interactive on-line assessment question banks.
New
ITE can design and produce interactive training and support material
tailored to your needs and specifications, as well as computer-driven
diagnostic procedures created specifically for your products reflecting
your terminology and procedures.
Internet
Specifically designed software to support and enhance the existing
AT-2000 delivered via the Internet or an Intranet. The software
will add flexibility to the AT-2000, complimenting the existing
training solutions and offering tailor-made programmes that reflect
your needs.
Electronic
tutorial automotive book
This fun multimedia software program is designed as both a teaching
aid for the instructor and a self-paced, self-monitored tutorial
for the student to reinforce learning. The interactive format of
the program motivates student interest in an active learning environment,
while introducing automotive operations and components.
