The EB-105 is a single board comprehensive instructional module designed to teach basic concepts of Electro-magnetism. The module can be operated either as a stand-alone unit, or integrated into the EB-2000 Computer Managed Laboratory. The module contains experiment circuits with which the student performs a number of conceptual experiments at various levels of difficulty. Test equipment, when used, is attached to the board via 2mm jacks placed at various points around the circuits. Students are required to do only a minimal amount of wiring, so training time is maximised. A comprehensive student manual is provided.. The manual is correlated to the exercises to convey concepts relating to the technologies covered, allowing focus on specific performance objectives.
DESCRIPTION
The EB-105 printed circuit board contains a ballistic galvanometer with selectable gain amplifier, a sample coil, E-core transformer, toroid, variable air-gap transformer, relay, integrator and driving signal power amplifier.
The supplied accessories are a small compass, two permanent magnets with holder, round air-coil with holder, rectangular air-coil, ferrous and plastic cores, ferrite ring core, and 0.4 mm plastic spacer plates. The EB-105 module is designed to enable the students to easily perform all experiments by reducing the set-up time with pre-assembled components. The procedure steps for each experiment are straightforward to reduce wasted time. The module must be plugged into a PUZ-2000 mainframe, or alternately be connected to an external power supply. The student can easily see the schematic and identify the real components. All major signals are output to 2-mm jacks for wiring and measurements.
